Magic is the unknown. It is power we cannot understand. As a child I always wanted to be a Wizard. Summon power at will, use it to do amazing feats. However, I merely wanted it to be done AT WILL. My imagination came to life, as it were. But in reality, for a Wizard/Magician, the ability to do Magic destroys the mystic nature behind Magic for the user. They understand how it works, they know how to use it.
Sad, if only Magic were as Mystic as I'd like it to be.
The Longest Journey has an interesting theory. That Earth is split into two realities, Arcadia and Stark. Arcadia is the realm of Magic and Alchemy, and Stark, the realm of Science and Logic. Our reality that we know of is Stark, needless to say, and it's not exactly the one I'd want. I'd much prefer a realm of magic and exploration than a realm of science and logic that we now live in. I would much prefer the fantasic to the scientific.
But, all I can do is enjoy the hand that I've been dealt. Ah well.

Tired.
I'm very tired... so soon I shall rest.
My mind is a maelstrom of confusion. It's really kicking the crap out of my focus. I'll be over it soon though. Practice, that's what I need to keep telling myself. Think of it as practice. Then all will be well. Ah well, the randomness continues.
Now, I retire. Work on the project continues!

Review, Renew, Recline.
I wrote a review over at RPG RPG Revolution to give them a taste of my writing ability with the hope that they'll hire me as a review writer for the games on their main site. It would be a good opportunity to practice game related writing and could be used to show off to potential employers. If you're interested in reading it, please go here. In short, the game I reviewed sucked horribly.
Lately I've had some things to reflect on in regards to my humanity. I've grown very cold over the years I've found... I'm kind, I do what I can to help others in accordance to the ways I've been raised and I try to be a good person. But as for feeling things... I've grown very cold. It's as if my emotions have a filter around them that prevent me from indulging in them. I've grown a bit too aloof than I'd like, but this is something that will take some time to think through.
The past day or two I've been far too busy to get anything done on my project, which is disappointing. It seems that my project is the only thing I care about lately. Once it is complete I can focus my attention elsewhere. That's another thing that bothers me, I block out the events of the world and keep to myself and those in my sphere of influence.
One day I'd like to travel the world, explore and enjoy the things the world has to offer. However I would need skills to assure my survival in the world. I'm charismatic, but I would need to pick up a few languages and some martial arts skills in order to make sure I don't get my ass killed while exploring. One day, maybe for a year or two I'll gather a small party of crazed individuals like myself and throw caution to the winds and explore the world.
Many thanks to Evan and Rie for hanging out on Sunday, my friends saved me from a horrid headache and drunken fatigue with some fresh air and Tenacious D.
So now I get to work on my project, hope I get to be hired as a reviewer and listen to the fantastic jams of DJ Kaori.
Until next time.

Basketball on a Lake, now that would be interesting.
Tomorrow is Lakers vs. Celtics. I don't follow basketball though. So why mention?
Tomorrow my friend and his friends are going to get together and watch the game in a bar. I've been invited, but I'm not really inclined to go. Sure, hanging out with some folks sounds like good fun but it's for basketball. Basketball as a sport is a bit too mundane for my tastes. Granted, I hate being a spectator in a sport, I much prefer to participate. I prefer to watch people perform music and song, or plays. I'm not much of a sports person. So should I spend the several hours of my day off doing something I'd prefer? Such as work on my project? Or go hang out with some folks and lounge in a bar that'll be noisy and crowded over a Laker game.
The choice is clear: I gonna do what I want! kekeke.
Not much else to talk about, project working, dinner plans and jamming to concert videos. Ciest la vie.

The First of Many.
Blogging, an interesting way to use one's time. Yes. I myself have never really considered writing down my thoughts, my ideas, my... musings. (Egad that was a tad corny) On a place such as this. I figure there's no harm in it, and I do enjoy writing (or typing as it were).
On to business.
I have a job that pays me more than it should (but not as much as I dream of making in the future). However, it is a boring job. Being a merchant seems to be a trend I've been going through the past few years. Although it's not really a "merchant" per se, I'm more of... a clerk really. I sell things to people and in return I get paid a humble sum that keeps food on my table and a bed to comfortably sleep in (among other activities). It is not what I dream, not at all. However I am working towards work that I'd prefer to be doing. QA at Disney seems a promising venture, as soon as they have need to hire me. Transitioning between jobs will be risky and... awkward with my current employer. I currently work in a small mom & pop style shop of electronic goodness, which if I do not go for some risks I may end up working for decades as the others who work there and have worked there. I don't plan on wearing a crappy polo shirt and selling electronics to old men for the rest of my life. I'd join the military before I'd resign myself to such a humble existence.
Now where was I? Ah yes, game testing. It would be a dock in pay, and an increase in hours. However this would lead to more money at the end of the week, but less free time. It is an interesting trade off to be sure, but it would only last for a year before I'd have to take a mandatory 3 month break from working there. Which is fine, because if I spend a year working my ass off (playing video games? Pffah, if it weren't for the fact they're in an alpha/beta phase it wouldn't be work at all!) and being frugal with my spending then I shall have enough to live comfortably doing what I wish for 3 months until I gain employment with them once more.
Fortunately, with my current crappy job I have plenty of time between the one or two customers I run into on a 30 minute basis I have plenty of time to write, sketch and make sure those metal boxes are aligned just so (to avoid my boss from having a heart attack over paying for someone not doing anything). He has a point, granted if I were paying someone to work for me I'd expect them to work as much as they could, if there was work to be done. I consider myself a hard and efficient worker, so I get work done quickly and done right. My problem is, my boss wants to see people working, not so much see the results of said labor. My main challenge at work is performing the song and dance of looking busy to appease an elderly man who insists that working in an electronic shop is a respectable occupation. (There are worse, but is not really the thing I'm looking for as a career)
That's quite enough of work-talk, that is for sure. Although I find myself working all the time. If I'm not working in a shop, I'm at home working on my project. What kind of project? Well it is a homebrew RPG (That's Role-Playing Game for those of you unenlightened in gamer culture.) for the PC. As you can see the right of this blog there is a link to my other blog which I dedicate info for that project. (Once I actually get to work on that blog... Yet more work!)
But I don't work all the time. I do enjoy the company of my friends and the random adventures we go on. Although not the most... rewarding of adventures, they're adventures nonetheless.
But those adventures are tales best saved for another time. For now, I go to work on other endeavors, and hope that once I have completed them enough to share, those of you who have stumbled upon my section of the interwebs will enjoy and tell me all about your experience toying with the fruits of my labor.
Until next time.
